Tieku School is a K-8th grade school on the outskirts os Nsawam. Many of the children come from farming families or live with relatives because their parents have gone to the capital to find work. THe school buildings are in poor condition but the principla and teachers are very dedicated, working with a limited amount of teaching materials.
This year as a result of the STEM teacher training the science teacher started a school garden, where they are experimanting with a variety of growng techniques. The garden is being used for teaching earth science, nutrition and the harvested food grown will be shared with the community.
